The Palma 2 is designed to sit in your pocket the way a phone does. That means the case for it has to solve a different problem than a tablet case: it needs to add real protection against pocket wear (keys, coins, phone screens), let the 16 MP camera keep working for document scanning, and stay light enough that carrying the Palma 2 doesn’t feel like carrying a brick.

This official BOOX case gets all three right. The PU leather exterior resists the scuffs and micro-scratches that pocket carry inevitably produces. The microfiber interior prevents the Palma 2’s back panel from picking up dust or hairline marks. The camera cutout keeps the OCR document-scanning feature accessible without opening the cover. And at 44 grams, it barely registers when you pick up the whole assembly.

Materials that hold up to daily pocket carry

Exterior — PU leather. Wear-resistant, smooth to the touch, and holds up to daily rubbing against fabric, keys, and other pocket contents without ageing quickly. Not as premium as top-grain leather, but sensible for something that lives in a pocket and it stays looking the same after months of use.

Interior — soft microfiber cloth. Cushions the Palma 2’s back panel against scratches and prevents dust ingress into the internal cavity. Also cleans the device’s back surface with normal daily movement — a small unexpected benefit.

Magnetic buckle closure

The case flips open like a book and closes via a magnetic buckle on the front. Two practical implications:

• The cover stays closed in your pocket, so the front screen is protected from accidental pressure or debris
• The buckle is easy to open one-handed — a light thumb pull releases it without fussing with clasps or snaps

Unlike some tablet cases (Note Air 4 C, Note Max), this cover does not include auto sleep/wake magnets. Opening the cover doesn’t automatically wake the Palma 2 you’ll press the power button as normal. This is a Palma 2 design constraint, not a case limitation.

The camera cutout matters more than it sounds

The Palma 2’s 16 MP rear camera is one of its most useful features pair it with the built-in OCR and you get instant document scanning of receipts, whiteboards, printed articles, and business cards. Any case that blocked the camera would defeat the point.

This case includes a precise camera cutout aligned to the Palma 2’s lens position. You can:

• Photograph a document without opening the cover
• Use the LED flash normally
• Keep the camera lens protected from pocket dust when the case is closed

Two colours to choose from

Black — the classic professional choice. Reads as understated and business-appropriate in any environment.

Navy Blue — a softer, more personality-forward alternative. Still conservative enough for professional use but with a small personal touch.

Both versions are functionally identical same materials, same magnets, same camera cutout, same weight. Choose based on aesthetic preference.

• ❌ Any other BOOX model

The Palma 2 has a specific 159 × 80 × 8 mm dimension that this case is precisely sized for. Other BOOX devices won’t fit.

How the case handles daily use

• Weight — Palma 2 (170 g) + case (44 g) = 214 g total. Roughly the weight of a stack of five business cards. Genuinely pocket-friendly.
• Thickness — case adds 5–7 mm to the Palma 2’s 8 mm thickness. Total assembly around 13–15 mm — still slimmer than most phones.
• Grip — the PU leather has more surface friction than the Palma 2’s slick back, making the whole assembly less likely to slip out of your hand or a coat pocket.

Care and maintenance

• Wipe the exterior with a soft dry cloth to keep it looking new
• Avoid heavy water exposure — PU leather is water-resistant against light splashes but not designed for submersion
• Keep out of extended direct sunlight — UV over years fades the Navy Blue slightly (the Black is more resistant)
• Remove the Palma 2 occasionally to clean any dust that accumulates in the internal cavity
