The one case, two flagship tablets

BOOX designed this case to fit both the Note Max (2024 release, 13.3″ monochrome) and the Tab X C (2025 release, 13.3″ colour). Both share the same physical dimensions and mounting layout, so the same case works for both flagships useful if you own both, or if you’re deciding between them and want case coverage regardless of which you choose.

Materials and construction match the price point of what you’re protecting. The vegan leather exterior has a matte texture and minimalist styling that reads as professional in meetings and offices without being flashy. The soft microfiber interior cradles the device against scratches, dust, and screen damage during transport. The whole assembly adds 283 g to the tablet real protection without turning your slim 4.6 mm device into a brick.

The Cyan Black dual-tone design

Two colours in one case — a Cyan Black exterior with a subtle bluish undertone that reads as sophisticated dark grey in most lighting, and a contrasting interior that adds visual interest when the case is open. The dual-tone approach avoids the flat black-slab look of generic third-party cases, without going so bold that it clashes with business environments.

BOOX also sells this same case in Light Gray for a lighter, more casual aesthetic. The two versions are functionally identical — Cyan Black is the “professional” default; Light Gray is the “relaxed” alternative.

Magnetic attachment — device and stylus

Two magnetic systems work together:

Device attachment. Internal magnets in the back panel grip your Note Max or Tab X C firmly. Removing the tablet takes deliberate pull; accidental slip out is essentially impossible. This is different from adhesive-back cases that leave sticky residue on the tablet — the magnets hold naturally with no marks on the device.

Magnetic closure and pen retention. The front cover closes magnetically against the case, and a magnetic flap wraps over your stylus to keep it in place during transport. For the Note Max, this means the Pen Plus (EMR) stays clipped to the side. For the Tab X C, it holds the InkSpire (active pen with magnetic wireless charging) securely without interfering with the charging function.

Auto sleep/wake — genuinely works

The case’s cover magnet is positioned to trigger the tablet’s built-in sleep sensor. Practical result:

• Close the cover → tablet sleeps automatically (saves battery, protects the display from accidental input)
• Open the cover → tablet wakes to your last-active screen (no button press needed)

This is a tablet feature, not a case feature — but only cases with the sensor magnet in the correct position trigger it reliably. Generic third-party cases often have the magnet in the wrong spot and the feature doesn’t work.

Foldable stand for different tasks

The case’s cover folds into a stand with multiple angle positions:

• Reading angle — gentle incline, hands-free reading on a desk or table
• Writing angle — steeper slope, natural feel for writing with the Pen Plus or InkSpire
• Presentation angle — near-vertical, good for showing content to someone across a desk

Works in both portrait (traditional book/document orientation) and landscape (widescreen for split-screen productivity or video calls). Multiple use cases from a single case configuration.
