UniFi G6 Pro 360 Camera Black (UVC-G6-PRO-360-B)
The UVC-G6-PRO-360-B is what you buy instead of four dome cameras. Mount it in the middle of an open space warehouse floor, retail shop floor, lobby, open-plan office and it sees everything at once: the full 180° hemisphere below the ceiling, at 12 megapixels, day or night.
The trick is the sensor and the maths. A 1/1.6″ 12 MP sensor captures a native 1:1 square image (3504 × 3504) through a fisheye lens. When UniFi Protect dewarps it, you get a usable panoramic view plus enough remaining pixel density to digitally zoom into a face, licence plate, or product on a shelf without the image falling apart. A 4 MP 360° camera can’t do that. Neither can a 2K one.
This is the black variant: same hardware, firmware, and specs as the UVC-G6-PRO-360-W (white). Choose black for dark interiors, exposed-ceiling warehouses, and installations where the camera should recede rather than announce itself.
Smart IR with four controllable zones
Most 360° cameras have a single IR emitter that either over-exposes anything close to the lens or leaves distant corners in shadow. The G6 Pro 360 has four independent IR zones that UniFi Protect drives separately based on what’s in each region of the frame. A person walking toward the camera doesn’t blow out. The far wall doesn’t disappear. The picture stays balanced across the full 15 m (50 ft) IR range.
That difference controllable zones instead of one flood is what separates a usable 360° night image from a marketing bullet point.
On-device AI, no cloud lock-in
Person, vehicle, and animal detection all run on the camera itself, using its quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor. Events fire into UniFi Protect timestamped and pre-classified, so you can filter recordings by “person entered zone 3 at 02:14” instead of scrubbing hours of tape.
Note the honest limitation: this camera does not do face recognition or licence plate recognition. For those, pair it with a G6 Bullet or Turret focused on the specific choke point (entry door, driveway, gate).
Two-way audio and integrated speaker
A built-in speaker and dual microphones turn the camera into a talk-down station. Trigger an automated response when the AI detects someone after hours, or open a live channel from the UniFi Protect app to speak to a delivery driver, warn off a trespasser, or acknowledge a visitor.

Where to put it and where not to
Ideal locations:
- Warehouse floors and distribution centres
- Retail sales floors and open showrooms
- Open-plan offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms
- Building lobbies, hotel foyers, atrium spaces
- Outdoor parking areas mounted on a light pole or eave
- Loading docks and yard-facing installations
Not ideal for:
- Long corridors — a rectangular room wastes the round frame. Use a G6 Bullet or Turret with a rectangular sensor instead.
- Long-range identification of faces or plates — the fisheye distorts distant subjects. Pair this with a targeted camera at the choke point.
- Very high ceilings (>4 m indoor) — image density at the floor drops. Two G6 Pro 360s at lower mounting heights beat one at ceiling max.
Installation notes
- Single PoE+ cable carries both power and data. Uses standard 802.3at PoE+ on Cat 5e or better. Max 13.5 W consumption leaves plenty of headroom on a 30 W PoE+ port.
- 10/100 MbE port — not gigabit. That’s deliberate; 12 MP at 24 FPS with H.265 fits inside 100 Mbps comfortably, and 10/100 keeps the enclosure cooler.
- MicroSD slot provides local recording for edge storage or network-outage buffering.
- UniFi Protect required — the camera must be adopted into UniFi Protect running on a UniFi Cloud Gateway, UNVR, or self-hosted Protect instance. It doesn’t operate as a standalone ONVIF camera.
- Wall or ceiling mount. For overhead corner mounts, order the Arm Mount accessory. For pole and pendant installs, order the AI 360 Junction Box.
Choosing between UniFi G6 cameras
- UVC-G6-Pro-360-B (this SKU) — 360° hemispheric coverage, one camera for large open areas. Black.
- UVC-G6-Pro-360-W — same camera in white.
- G6 Bullet / Turret / Dome — rectangular field of view, better for corridors, choke points, and identification work.
- G6 Instant — small indoor camera for offices and residential use.
