The UISP Wave Pico is Ubiquiti’s compact, lightweight 60 GHz client station built to pull gigabit-class wireless into homes, businesses, and remote sites without a cable in the ground. Powered by Ubiquiti’s Wave Technology, it delivers up to 2 Gbps total throughput (1 Gbps duplex) over the 60 GHz band, with a built-in 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 backup radio that keeps the link alive when 60 GHz conditions drop. At 347g and 152mm across, it mounts on a pole in minutes and disappears against a wall.

For WISPs, enterprise links, and anyone extending high-speed connectivity across a property, campus, or street, the Wave Pico is the small, cost-efficient endpoint that punches far above its size.

60 GHz gigabit speed, minimal interference

The Wave Pico operates on the 60 GHz spectrum, where wide channels and low congestion enable up to 2 Gbps of throughput (1 Gbps in duplex). Unlike crowded 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, 60 GHz is largely interference-free — so you get consistent, high-speed performance for fixed wireless links, backhaul, and last-mile connectivity.

As a client station, it connects to Ubiquiti’s Wave AP and Wave AP Micro access points in a point-to-multipoint (PtMP) network, or runs as a point-to-point (PtP) link between two units (firmware 3.2.0+).

5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 backup the link that doesn’t drop

This is the Wave Pico’s smartest feature. 60 GHz signals deliver huge speed but are sensitive to rain fade and line-of-sight interruptions. The integrated 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 backup radio (up to 800 Mbps) automatically maintains the connection when the 60 GHz link degrades — so instead of a dropped link during heavy rain, you get a seamless fallback to 5 GHz until conditions clear.

For a WISP delivering service to paying customers, that backup radio is the difference between “connection lost” complaints and uninterrupted service through weather.

Focused, high-gain antenna

A 27.7 dBi integrated antenna with a tight 6° beamwidth (azimuth and elevation) concentrates the signal into a precise, focused beam maximising range and minimising interference between co-located stations. That narrow beam is what lets multiple Wave Pico stations operate near each other in a dense PtMP deployment.
