U7-PRO-XG

The Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Pro XG is a ceiling-mounted 6-stream WiFi 7 access point with 10/5/2.5/1 GbE support. The distinguishing feature over the standard U7 Pro is its 10 GbE RJ45 port: where a 2.5 GbE uplink can become the ceiling on a busy tri-band WiFi 7 radio, the XG gives the access point far more wired headroom. That makes it a sensible specification for offices, schools, clinics and hospitality venues that already have, or are planning, multi-gigabit copper to the ceiling and want the wireless side to be the only limit.

Key features

• Tri-band WiFi 7 with 6 spatial streams, 2×2 downlink/uplink MU-MIMO on each band
• Single 10 GbE RJ45 port, negotiating 10/5/2.5/1 GbE, so the uplink will not throttle aggregate wireless throughput
• 6 GHz band for clean spectrum on capable clients; 6 GHz operation is available only in countries where Ubiquiti supports it
• Power method is PoE+, drawing up to 22W from an 802.3at switch port or injector
• Also backwards compatible with WiFi 6, WiFi 5 and 802.11n clients
• Slim ceiling profile at 32.5 mm deep; ceiling or wall mounting, with Ubiquiti’s Lite Mount listed as included
• UV-stabilised polycarbonate and aluminium alloy enclosure
• NDAA compliant; adopted and managed in the UniFi Network application

Specifications

Specify the UniFi U7 Pro XG where the cabling to the ceiling can carry more than 2.5 GbE and you would rather not revisit the access point when it cannot.
