U7-MESH

The Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Mesh is a compact indoor/outdoor WiFi 7 access point with an integrated long-range antenna system. Its slim cylindrical form and included wall, pole and table mounts make it the flexible unit in the U7 range: it can stand on a desk in a small office, clamp to a pole to cover a yard or car park, or go on a wall where a ceiling dome would be awkward. With Ubiquiti’s outdoor mount fitted it is rated IPX6, so the same model can be deployed either side of the building envelope and managed identically in UniFi Network.

Key features

• Dual-band WiFi 7 with 4 spatial streams, rated by Ubiquiti at up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240) and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40)
• Integrated antenna system offering both omnidirectional (6 dBi) and directional (10 dBi) gain on 5 GHz, so one unit can either blanket an area or reach along it
• 2.5 GbE RJ45 port, giving a 2.5 GbE uplink rather than the 1 GbE bottleneck of earlier mesh units
• Power method is PoE, drawing a maximum of 13W; Ubiquiti’s specification table for this model lists “Includes PoE Adapter”
• Wall, pole and table-stand mounts included
• IPX6 weatherproofing when installed with the outdoor mount
• Wide -30 to 60° C operating range
• UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure; NDAA compliant; CE, FCC and IC certified

A good choice for the awkward corner of a UniFi site — a sleepout, a workshop, a yard or a covered deck — without stepping up to a full outdoor access point.
