Optical Zoom Outdoor PoE Dome camera
One camera that covers what three can’t.
A fixed camera watches a rectangle. This one watches everything 360° around, 90° up and down, and then zooms 25X into whatever caught its attention. The vehicle at the end of the driveway stops being a shape and becomes a plate you can read.
See detail where other cameras see pixels
The 4.8–120mm varifocal lens with autofocus gives you 25X optical zoom real glass, not a digital crop that just enlarges the blur. Plates stay legible out to around 1,000 ft in good daylight and clear air. Rain, haze and a moving vehicle will pull that in, as they will for any long lens, but the working range is far beyond anything a fixed lens delivers.
Alerts you’ll actually leave switched on
Eight separate detection methods work together instead of one crude pixel-change trigger. The result is fewer alerts for cats, shadows and swaying branches which matters, because the most common failure in home surveillance is someone muting notifications after a week of nonsense and missing the one that counted.
Fast enough to follow
Pans a full 360°, tilts 90°, moves at up to 100°/s, and holds up to 300 preset positions for patrol tours. Auto, event and manual tracking keep a subject in frame as they cross the scene rather than watching them walk out of it.
4MP at a genuine 30 fps
A 1/2.8″ OmniVision sensor recording 2560 × 1440 at a true 30 frames per second. The frame rate is the underrated spec here at half that, a person walking at normal pace jumps between frames, and the clear still you wanted is in the gap.
Usable images in awkward light
Eight enhancement technologies WDR, 3D DNR, HLC, BLC, anti-fog, EIS, AGC, and regional exposure and focus. What that means in practice: a face isn’t lost against a bright sky, headlights don’t blow out the frame, coastal fog doesn’t turn everything to milk, and a pole mount flexing in the wind doesn’t ruin the footage.
Colour at night, not silhouettes
Full-colour night vision to 164 ft in as little as 0.005 lux, dropping to black and white below 0.001 lux. The difference is descriptive: monochrome gives you “dark jacket,” colour gives you “red jacket, blue car.” One of those is useful to Police.
