2K (4MP) resolution sharp enough to identify

The G5 Turret Ultra captures at 2K (2688 × 1512) at 30fps, which gives you meaningfully more detail than 1080p. Faces, licence plates, clothing details the kind of specifics that make footage useful after an incident, not just evidence that “someone was there.” A 1/2.4″ CMOS sensor handles the imaging, with adjustable colour, brightness, sharpness, contrast, and white balance through UniFi Protect.

102.4° ultra-wide field of view

A 102.4° horizontal field of view (120.6° diagonal) covers a wide area from a single mount point a driveway, a doorway, a room, or a yard section without needing multiple cameras to cover the same space. For a turret this compact, that’s an impressively wide angle with minimal edge distortion.

30m IR night vision

When the light drops, the built-in infrared LEDs take over, delivering clear footage up to 30 metres (98 feet) in complete darkness. That’s enough range to cover a full driveway, a car park, or a backyard the distances that matter for residential and small-business security.

AI smart detections people, vehicles, animals

The G5 Turret Ultra supports AI-powered event detection through UniFi Protect, distinguishing between people, vehicles, and animals. That means useful, targeted alerts instead of a flood of notifications every time a branch sways or a cat crosses the frame. You get notified when something that matters is happening not when nothing is.

Built-in microphone

An integrated microphone captures environmental audio alongside the video, adding context to footage. It can be disabled through UniFi Protect settings if audio recording isn’t appropriate for the location.

IP66 weatherproof, IK04 tamper-resistant

The aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate housing is IP66 rated sealed against dust and protected from powerful water jets. IK04 impact resistance adds tamper protection against casual interference. It’s built for exposed outdoor mounting under eaves, soffits, and overhangs, as well as indoor ceiling and wall installations.

One PoE cable power and data

A single 10/100 Ethernet cable with PoE (802.3af) delivers both the video feed and the power, drawing only about 4W. No separate power adapter, no second cable run one connection from your PoE switch or injector and the camera is live. At 4W, it barely touches your switch’s PoE budget.

Ultra-compact and discreet

At just Ø90 × 71.2mm and 330g, the G5 Turret Ultra is one of the smallest surveillance cameras in the UniFi Protect lineup. It mounts cleanly on a wall or ceiling (mount included), with optional junction box and arm mount accessories for different install scenarios. Its small profile makes it less noticeable — useful when you want coverage without a visible deterrent.

Full UniFi Protect management

The G5 Turret Ultra is managed entirely through UniFi Protect Ubiquiti’s surveillance platform. View live feeds, review recordings, configure detection zones, adjust image settings, and receive smart alerts from the Protect app or web interface.
